Contrary to Temple Run, in Subway Surfers you don’t control your character with the accelerometer. Rather, you will have three tracks from which you can move your character back and forth with the swipe of your finger. Of course, you will be able to jump over obstacles (or from train to train) and roll on the ground to dodge others. Moreover, you will be able to use different gadgets like skateboards and jetpacks to help you along your way.
Like most games of this type, during your run you will have to complete different missions that will supply you coins that you can buy upgrades with. Nothing new, but still very exciting.
Graphically, Subway Surfers is an impressive game. So much so that at times it can throw you through a loop. That being said, the character models and texture are a true delight.
Subway Surfers is a very entertaining game, with some mechanics as simple as they are addicting, that will keep you hooked for hours while trying to break your friends’ high scores (which will always be visible thanks to Game Center).
